Amana Sickle Cell Foundation is a non-profit organization that pursues and envisions a free Sickle Cell Nigeria & Africa through the delivery of comprehensive preventive & curative services to victims of sickle cell disease and the general public.
Our Mission:
No country faces a more urgent need for action against sickle cell disease than Nigeria. With one in every four individuals carrying the sickle cell gene (Hb AS), and a population exceeding 200 million, the scale of the challenge is immense. Each year, thousands of children are born with sickle cell disease, facing significant health risks and barriers to proper care. Our mission is to address this pressing need by providing vital support services, education, and advocacy to those affected by sickle cell disease and the wider public.
