The foundation’s BOT meets as it regularly does, and this time is to congratulate the chairman of BOT for his recent nomination as the wazirin Katagum and to discuss the achievements so far, & the way forward.
The BOT of Amana Sickle Cell Foundation chaired by Arc Audu Sule Katagum FNIA (Wazirin Katagum ) held a meeting to discuss critical issues regarding the foundation’s evolution for better service delivery most importantly as the foundation established a new laboratory fully equipped by Azeezat Olajumoke Gbenro foundation.

The meeting ended on a high note and was deemed successful by the participants.
Amana Sickle Cell Foundation BOT members interact with Katagum zone chairmen
First of its kind The Amana Sickle Cell Foundation BOT members which is chaired by His Excellency the former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Arc. Audu Sule Katagum FNIA ( wazirin Katagum ) to interact with the zonal chairmen towards the development of the foundation.
The meeting was opened with a welcoming remark by the chairman of BOT who proceeded to introduce the foundation and its achievements so far most importantly the well-established sickle cell laboratory by the CEO, Abdulqadir Gambo Musa, and how to establish standard sickle cell laboratory in all zonal areas and how to speed up its activities at all places.
There was a high focus on ensuring the proper implementation of anti-discrimination and genotype testing laws which were to provide for compulsory HIV/AIDS and genotype tests before marriage and to prohibit stigmatization and discrimination of victims of the enacted 2017 law and supported by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Sen Bala Abdulkadir (kauran Bauchi, Jagaban Katagum) in the year 2022.
The meeting was opened to discussion speaker after speaker, appreciating the efforts of the foundation and ensuring their full support while curtailing the menace of sickle cell disease across the state as they are always ready to serve humanity and abide by the Government enacted law.
The meeting ended on a high note of how to establish well-equipped Sickle Cell laboratories in all the LGAs across the zone and the state at large and inspect the foundation sickle cell laboratory and office.
