Amana Sickle Cell Foundation Convenes Board of Trustees Meeting to Advance Strategic Health Initiatives

The Amana Sickle Cell Foundation convened a Board of Trustees (BOT) meeting under the distinguished chairmanship of His Excellency, Alhaji (Arc) Audu Sule Katagum, FNIA, MNIM – Wazirin Katagum. Although the Foundation’s BOT typically meets quarterly, this special session was called in line with its mandate to respond swiftly to critical developments.

The agenda centered on a major upcoming project focused on improving care and support for individuals living with sickle cell disease. Discussions specifically explored the project’s scope, implementation strategy, and geographical focus. A key highlight of the meeting was planning for the enrollment of sickle cell warriors into a comprehensive social health insurance database, aimed at expanding access to affordable and quality healthcare.

The Foundation’s CEO, Mr. Abdulqadir Gambo Musa, joined BOT members in expressing deep appreciation for the Chairman’s unwavering commitment, selfless leadership, and enduring contributions to the advancement of sickle cell care in Nigeria. The board collectively applauded his visionary efforts and offered prayers for his continued success in service to humanity.
