As part of the foundation’s activities to bring succor to the lives of sickle cell patients, laboratory equipment was donated to achieve the targetted goal where sickle cell patients will have access to some basic testing.
As sickle cell disease is preventable through genotype testing, the established laboratory will give the general public access to testing and curtail the menace of sickle cell disease.
At the event were prominent personalities, stakeholders, and traditional and religious leaders. In their comments, they appreciated the effort of the Azeezat Olajumoke Gbenro Foundation for considering the effort of the Amana Sickle Cell Foundation and equipping the foundation’s laboratory. They also acknowledge the efforts of Amanas Sickle Cell Foundation as establishing this laboratory is not only for Azare, Katagum, or Bauchi but including the neighboring states to have easy access to testing and pray for Azeezat olajumoke to continue to resting in peace.
